Buddhist monks breakdancing to celebrate the Beastie Boys’ MCA Day

May 3 was the third-annual MCA Day, celebrating the life of the late Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch. To kick off the event, a group of Buddhist monks descended on Union Square in New York City and breakdanced to the Beastie Boys’ “Ch-Check It Out.” It was awesome.

Yauch (aka MCA), who died of cancer on May 4, 2012, was a devout Buddhist himself and worked tirelessly to advance the cause of Tibetan independence.
